This whole new married life stuff

The Closet!

The Married Life

Honestly it doesn't feel like that big of a change for me being married and all. Michael and I spent practically everyday together from the moment we met so it's not that much different now, except for the fact I have half of a closet to fit all my clothes in. That's probably the hardest part ;) Haha but no really being married to Michael is the greatest decision I have made thus far. We balance each other out and let me tell you Heavenly Father couldn't have picked a better match for me. Not only that but I got really lucky I think Michael was brainwashed as a little child by his father that the man in the family is supposed to do absolutely everything because michael cooks, cleans, the whole nine yards its awesome!! We love watching lots of movies together and playing with our puppy Kya. Michael is currently working at Citi Bank in their call center he doesn't really love it but it pays well and provides us with good benefits so I'm very appreciative of Citi Bank and his employment there! Michael will begin school this Fall at CWI working towards getting all of his undergrad studies for the pharmacy program taken care of. After two and a half years there (were thinking that it will take about that long) he is planning on applying for the pharmacy program at Idaho State University.  I'm currently a developmental therapist working with the most AWESOME, CUTEST, & COOLEST kiddos in the treasure valley who have special needs. I work in the school with my favorite little girl during the day and work with other awesome kids after school in the community. In the fall I will be finishing my bachelors degree through Idaho State University-Meridian where I am able to get a bachelors in Communication Disorders. I have two years left and then will be starting grad school through ISU to finally become a speech language pathologist. But Besides that, this is our life we are excited to get it started together and go after our dreams and start our family somewhere in between! Your Prayers to make all this successfully happen are definitely appreciated!

Honeymoon Time

Michael and I had a fun time in Tamarack! We were so lucky to have our family treat us to a free stay in their cabin. My aunt and uncle have a beautiful cabin up there that was perfect for us :) We arrived and we were spoiled with all the cute decorations they surprised us with! We cooked meals together and enjoyed the time off work! We also drove up to McCall and enjoyed the little shops up there as well as some yummy food :) but the best part of our honeymoon was our trip to Utah right after tamarack to pick up our puppy (pictures included below) Kya is perfect we just love her :)

Ring Ceremony & Reception

The ring ceremony was held at the Boise Police Clubhouse it was perfect :) As an LDS convert At the age of 19; growing up I always dreamed of a wedding where my dad would walk me down the isle where I would be surrounded by family and friends. Including bridesmaids and flower girls and the whole sha-bang! The ring ceremony gave me this and I'm so glad we did it. :) It was even more special because my grandpa got to conduct our ring ceremony!
The reception was right after the ring ceremony at the clubhouse. It was so great to be able to visit and give hugs to all the people that came to support us! My mom also surprised us with a photoblog she had rented for our wedding which everyone really seemed to enjoy! We got photos of all the photo booth photos in an album which was so fun to see and a great reminder we will always have of who was at our wedding! My family slaved away in the kitchen making pulled pork and other yummy for the guests. Our cake turned out so cute with the bride and groom dachshund cake toppers I surprised Michael with :) My least favorite part of the night was probably the first dance. Although I love dancing slow dancing is not my thing and super embarrassing when doing it in front of so many people! It also didn't help that the way my dress was cut it was super hard to lift my arms up which made it interesting. But besides all my complaining Michael and I shared our first dance to Jack Johnson's song better together, it just fits Michael and I, it was cute! After that Michael shared a dance with his mom as I did with my dad to Rascal Flatts My Wish, I just love that song :) I was so happy with how everything turned out and an extra thanks to all my family who made it all happen!

Mr & Mrs

Despite being sick with a fever and a cold the wedding planning seemed fairly easy. But what you need to know is my mom was my wedding planner, she did so much for me since I was sick. But the truth is she would have anyways cause she's the best :) Friday morning we had brunch with a bunch of my family that was in town at a cute little cafe downtown. From there it was go time! We decorated the clubhouse All day and had people cooking up the pulled pork in the kitchen all day Friday as well. We were so blessed to be able to have the clubhouse Friday as well as Saturday or I don't know how we would have got it all done! Friday night we had our rehearsal for the ring ceremony which is where it all began to hit me that the next day I was getting married!
Saturday came quicker than I could have ever imagined. Saturday morning my mom and I headed to Sephora so I could get my makeup done. From there we went to the clubhouse and did my hair in the bridal room. My brothers girlfriend Corinne helped me do my hair, she's the greatest! After hair and makeup it was time to go to the temple :) We picked up Erin and my mom dropped me off at the front doors of the temple where shortly after I would be married!!!
My temple wedding was incredible but most of all it was the most spiritual moment I've ever had. As I sat In the sealing room with Michael it all hit me. I thought about everything that had to happen to get me right there in that moment. And I desperately fought happy tears as I thought about all of this and looked over to my left and saw Jennifer Pugh who was a huge blessing to me when I chose to be baptized two years prior. As I sat there I thought about my baptism and all the decisions I had made these past two years that led me to finding Michael and choosing to be married and sealed in the LDS temple. I was so happy all my choices had led me to this perfect little white bench that I now sat with my husband. Luckily I was pretty successful at holding back my tears of happiness so my makeup could still be Smudgeless for the pictures ;) However once the sealing was over and all our wonderful friends and family lined up to hug us I began to get emotional over the fact that my family wasn't there. But I know for a fact that my Heavenly Father knew I would struggle with this because as I walked to the waiting room of the temple where my family was waiting the first person I saw was my mom and as I expected to find her super emotional she was smiling from ear to ear waiting for my arrival and that did it for me. Knowing she was okay completely changed my attitude and made the day even more perfect. I have the best parents I really do! In the waiting room bathroom my mom helped me change Into my wedding dress. Michael and I then walked out of the temple surrounded by all our loved ones. And then we took pictures... Lots and lots of pictures! I included some from the temple below :) & Next I will update you on the ring ceremony, the reception & the honeymoon!
